ADVENTURES IN ZOOBIC

We woke up bright and early last Saturday to get to Subic in time for M's Bday which we celebrated by having lunch and playing around in Camayan Beach. Yummy barbecue, fresh prawns and crabs. Of course it wouldn't be complete without going to Ocean's Adventure but I opted to go to Zoobic instead.

It was entertaining (in a way) although I am not too much a fan of zoos as the animals look kawawa. There was this kenkoy animal show at the start with dogs balancing on balls, dancing the cha cha and going through an obstacle course. Then there was also a monkey shooting basketball and playing dead, as well as a pot bellied pig for the intermission. Of course I had to volunteer to hold the snake! Was waiting for the part where you can feed milk to a tiger cub but only had time for the first part of the tour, which included that kenkoy show, the Tiger encounter where you ride a jeep and the tigers come really close to feed on a dressed chicken tied to a rope, and walking through the mini zoo that had a lot of birds, camels, sheep, pigs, goats, ostriches and horses.

And so my adventure begins. At the start they ask if you want to feed animals (and of course being the sucker that I am say yes!) and so they give you this basket with veggies and fruits. So I'm there happily feeding the miniature horses, camels and pigs when out of nowhere a full grown sheep starts following me. And so I feed it a carrot, but being the insistent bugger that he is, wants more and proceeds to follow me some more. I felt like Mary as in "Mary had a little lamb" only I had an adult sheep. We walk a good few meters and he was still following me! Being good natured about it I feed the sheep some more as he was really gentle and cute although a bit on the stinky side. And then, out of nowhere, this huge ram suddenly realizes I am the bearer of good things and decides to follow me too. You should've seen this ram, I mean the sheep was huge (reached up to my waist) but the ram was bigger and had these HUGE curvy horns! I played it cool until the ram started getting impatient and began to chase me around with its horns! WAAAH! Help..got butted in the process...it was funny but getting butted actually hurts.. good thing the ram wasn't in a full out run or I'd be hystierical now than laughing about it. The guide with his megaphone seeing this happening shouts "Ma'am, bitawan niyo na yung basket!" and I'm like screaming, throwing bananas, carrots and cucumbers left and right in an effort to have the ram go for the food. Smart though (duh), as the ram targets the one holding the basket instead...me! And the ram goes at me again a few more times hahahaha. Sigh. This can only happen to me.
Kulit kasi e. Pa-feed-feed pa hahahaha.

! REACH FOR THE STARS !

I started this blog months ago to write about things I like, and in no particular order, my top 4 are food, travel, people, and sports.

My entries can be a mix and match of all four, so hope you do enjoy!
